Science Park Company

A recent visit to the Science Park site with Research & Knowledge Transfer staff from the University of Exeter
Since the formation of Exeter Science Park Company in May 2010, we have been actively marketing and positioning Exeter Science Park.
The Science Park Company has been engaging with the knowledge base and we continue to meet with key academics at the University of Exeter, Met Office
and Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. We have supported and attended the launch of a number of iNets, which are newly created to support businesses to turn ideas into new products and services. As a member of the UK Science Park Association
(UKSPA), we have made connections with other Science Parks both nationally and internationally to gain valuable insights into how to create a successful Science Park for the benefit of the economy of the region. We have also worked closely with the South West Science Park and Innovation Centres Leaders Forum.
The Science Park is keen to engage with local businesses and we are members of, and support, a number of key local and regional business networks such as the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, Devon and Cornwall Business Council
and Business Leaders Forum. The Science Park also forms an important element of the Exeter and East Devon Growth Point.
Visit the Exeter science park website for latest news and information or sign up to receive Twitter feeds from @ExeterSciencePk

Infrastructure development

Construction work at the Science Park site
You are no doubt aware that infrastructure work on the Science Park, led by Devon County Council, has been progressing well. An important milestone was the lifting in place of the pedestrian and cycle bridge across the M5 linking to the Science Park in February 2011. It is expected that this will be officially opened in June 2011.
Construction of the necessary roads and utilities for servicing the Science Park is currently underway. Work will soon commence on improvements to Junction 29 which will provide the necessary transport infrastructure for further developments in the area. |
